Am Broich is a district in the city center of Bergisch Gladbach .
history
At the Broich there is an old farm, which is registered with the name Bruch in the cadastre from 1869. The Broich farm was founded in the medieval rode epoch after the drainage of the marshy land caused by the Strunde . It is first documented for the year 1345. According to the Hebbuch of the Botenamt Gladbach from 1758/59, the Broich farm had 22 acres of agricultural land .
