The Amadagio is a river cruise ship for high demands. The ship was on 15 April 2005 at the Scheepswerf Grave BV in the Dutch Grave laid down on and on 10 April 2006 Amsterdam baptized. It was built for ABAV GmbH in Basel and sold to the 7th Sanssouci Schiffsgesellschaft in Hamburg on September 25, 2009 . The Amadagio is 110 m long, 11.40 m wide and has a draft of 1.50 m. It is propelled by two Veth Z-drives with counter-rotating propellers with a diameter of 0.80 m. For driving two are Cummins - diesel engines installed, each with 808 kW. The two-channel bow thruster is also powered electrically. The power supply for on-board operation is powered by two Cummins diesel generators with 403 kW each and an emergency generator with 77 kW.

The ship has four decks. The main deck ("violin deck") has 13 passenger cabins, accommodations for 41 crew members, storage and cooling rooms, tanks and the machinery. The “cello deck” houses the kitchen and the on-board restaurant, an elevator and 30 cabins in the bow. The "violin deck" above has the main lounge with dance floor, lobby, bar and on-board shop in the foredeck. This is followed by 24 cabins and the four junior suites. The fitness area and the veranda lounge are located in the aft ship. The wheelhouse with a hydraulically lowerable upper part is also located on the main deck with awnings, deck chairs, whirlpool and “Lido-Bar”. The ship is air-conditioned and each cabin can be adjusted individually. The sun sails can be folded down hydraulically .

Electronic equipment

100 multimedia centers with flat screens are available to passengers and crew . Two media streamers for 18 television channels, Internet access, a camera channel, a route channel and CD / DVD broadcasting are installed. Various satellite antennas are installed on the sun deck for reception . Navigation is via two Alphatron river radar systems with color monitors and electronic maps.

Furnishing

The ship has a total of 75 passenger cabins for 150 passengers. All cabins are outside cabins, 62 with a French balcony. Four of these are so-called junior cabins with a floor area of ​​26 m² and a bathroom with tub and shower. As in the other cabins (16 m²), the cabin furnishings are luxurious, with a large double bed, sofa, desk with computer, television with English-language programs. It is possible to watch films of your choice, and there is also a telephone with satellite connection. Hairdryers and bathrobes are available in the cabins.

On board there is a fitness room with shower and sauna , a beauty salon and massage parlor. There are 25 bikes on board for shore excursions. Passengers can comfortably reach the individual decks with an elevator .
