Amenemhet VII. , Also Kay Amenemhet or Ammenemes VII. , Was an ancient Egyptian king ( Pharaoh ) of the 13th Dynasty ( Second Intermediate Period ), who lived from around 1731 to 1724 BC. Ruled. The length of his reign is unknown. Since he left only a few monuments, it was probably rather short.

supporting documents

Kay Amenemhet is documented on a boat stand from Medamud , on which there are also inscriptions of Vegaf . A scarab is also known , a cylinder seal for Sobek made of Gebelein and a graffito (fine drawing or writing carved into metal or wall surfaces) can be found on the pyramid of the Chuit (Count's daughter from Abydos and a wife of Teti II ) in Saqqara .

The last of the Nilstand stamps affixed in the Semna / Kumma region dates from his first year of reign . Between this and the first mark from the first year of Amenemhet III. are about 70 years. After Jürgen von Beckerath , he is the 15th king of the 13th dynasty. In the Turin papyrus he appears in the 14th position in the dynasty . According to Kim Ryholt , "Kay" was his father's name.
