Aminuis is a settlement in the constituency of the same name in the Omaheke region in eastern Namibia .
Aminuis has an airfield, elementary schools and various utilities. The constituency of Aminuis covers an area of around 13,028 square kilometers with a total population of 12,300 inhabitants (as of 2011).
Main economic activities are agriculture and especially livestock (Omaheke is also called the "Cattle Country" ( cattle country called)).
history
Aminuis was founded in 1902 with the establishment of a mission station ; Today's mission station of the Wilkingheger Mission Sisters does not go back to them, but is a new establishment from the 1960s.
Aminuis is the birthplace of Kuaima Riruako († June 2, 2014 ), the traditional Herero leader and Namibian politician.
