Amphoe Kho Wang (in Thai อำเภอ ค้อวัง ) is a district ( amphoe - administrative district) in Yasothon Province . The province of Yasothon is located in the eastern part of the northeast region of Thailand , the so-called Isan .

Kho Wang District borders the following districts (from north clockwise) to Amphoe Maha Chana Chai in the province of Yasothon to Amphoe Khueang Nai of Ubon Ratchathani province , and to the Amphoe Yang Chum Noi and Rasi Salai the province of Si Sa Ket .

There are also four “ Tambon Administrative Organizations ” ( องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Tambon Administrative Organizations, TAO) for the Tambon or the parts of Tambon in the county that do not belong to any city.
