Amphoe Na Thawi ( Thai : อำเภอ นาทวี ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district) in the south of the Songkhla Province . The Songkhla Province is located in the southern region of Thailand on the coast to the Gulf of Thailand .

geography

Neighboring districts and areas (clockwise from the west): the Amphoe Sadao , Chana , Thepha and Saba Yoi . All of the Amphoe are in Songkhla Province. To the south is the state of Kedah of Malaysia .

history

The area of ​​today's Na Thawi district was initially established as a subdistrict ( King Amphoe ) in 1957 by separating it from the Amphoe Chana .

There are two small towns ( Thesaban Tambon ) in the county:

• Na Thawi ( เทศบาล ตำบล นาทวี ) consists of parts of the Tambon Na Thawi.
• Na Thawi Nok ( เทศบาล ตำบล นาทวี นอก ) consists of further parts of the Tambon Na Thawi.

There are also nine “tambon administrative organizations” (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล ) for the tambon in the district that do not belong to any city.
