The Temnitz office is an office established in 1992 in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district of the state of Brandenburg , in which 17 municipalities in the then Neuruppin district were initially combined into an administrative association. Through community mergers and integrations, the number of officially affiliated communities was reduced to six. The seat of the office is the municipality of Walsleben .

Geographical location

The office is located in the middle of the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg and borders the municipality of Wusterhausen / Dosse in the west, the city of Wittstock / Dosse in the north, the city of Neuruppin in the east and the municipality of Fehrbellin in the south.

The Temnitz office has six official municipalities:

history

On July 3, 1992, the Minister of the Interior gave his consent to the formation of the Temnitz Office, which was set to take place on July 16, 1992. The seat of the official administration was originally the municipality of Werder. The following 17 communities from the then Neuruppin district were summarized in it:

On December 30, 1997, the communities Darritz-Wahlendorf, Gottberg, Kränzlin and Werder merged to form the new community Märkisch Linden. Also on December 30, 1997, the communities Kerzlin, Küdow-Lüchfeld, Rohrlack, Vichel and Wildberg formed the new community Temnitztal. At the same time, the municipalities of Katerbow, Netzeband and Rägelin merged to form the new municipality of Temnitzquell. On January 10, 2002, the communities Frankendorf and Storbeck merged to form the new community Storbeck-Frankendorf.

The municipality of Garz was incorporated into the municipality of Temnitztal by law on October 26, 2003.
