Märkisch Linden is an official municipality in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg . The administrative business of the municipality is carried out by the Temnitz office .

Märkisch Linden is located on the Ruppiner Platte , about 4 km west of the district town of Neuruppin .
Community structure
According to its main statute, the community is divided into the districts
- Darritz-Wahlendorf with the residential areas Charlottenhof, Darritz, Darritz-Expansion, St. Jürgen, Wahlendorf, Woltersdorf and Woltersdorfbaum
- Gottberg
- Kränzlin with the residential areas Meierei, Schäferei and Siegmundshof
- Werder
The modern desert of Dossmannsofen and the medieval village of Lindow are located in the municipality .
history
The current districts of the community have belonged to the Ruppin rule since the 14th century, to the Ruppin district in the Mark Brandenburg since 1524 and to the Neuruppin district in the GDR district of Potsdam from 1952 . Since 1993 the places have been in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district of Brandenburg.
The municipality of Märkisch Linden was created on December 30, 1997 from the voluntary amalgamation of the previously independent municipalities of Darritz-Wahlendorf, Gottberg, Kränzlin and Werder. The history of the municipality is thus essentially the history of the individual parts of the village and municipality.

Attractions
- Gottberg village church from the 13th century, in its churchyard there is a monument to the fallen
- Memorial for the victims of wars on Dorfstrasse in front of the church tower in the Werder district (since 1992)

traffic
The district town of Neuruppin can be reached via the nearby federal road 167 . The A 24 Berlin– Hamburg motorway crosses the municipality. The Neuruppin junction is about 3 km south of the community center .
The Gottberg and Werder (Kr Neuruppin) stops were on the Neustadt (Dosse) –Neuruppin railway line . In 2006 passenger traffic was discontinued.
