Clausthal-Zellerfeld District Court

The District Court of Clausthal-Zellerfeld is one of nine district courts in the District Court of Braunschweig. It is based in Clausthal-Zellerfeld , district of Zellerfeld.

In 2004 the district court had a total of 20 employees, including three judges and four judicial officers. The judicial district of the district court Clausthal-Zellerfeld includes the city of Braunlage (with Sankt Andreasberg and Hohegeiß ) as well as the mountain and university town of Clausthal-Zellerfeld . The district court Clausthal-Zellerfeld has about 22,000 court residents . The higher-ranking court is the Braunschweig Regional Court .

history

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished. The district court of Zellerfeld was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. It comprised the urban area of Zellerfeld and parts of the Zellerfeld office , mainly consisting of Bockswiese, Hahnenklee , Schulenberg , Lautenthal , Wildemann , Grund and Altenau with a peat house . The district court was subordinate to the higher court in Osterode .

In 1859 the district courts of Clausthal and St. Andreasberg were repealed and their judicial districts were assigned to that of the district court of Zellerfeld. With the annexation of Hanover by Prussia , it became a Prussian district court in the province of Hanover . With the merger of Clausthal and Zellerfeld in 1924, the name of the district court was changed from the district court of Zellerfeld to the district court of Clausthal-Zellerfeld.
