Anastassija Aljaksandrauna Novikawa ( Belarusian Анастасія Аляксандраўна Новікава , born November 16, 1981 in Schodsina ) is a Belarusian weightlifter who has repeatedly used doping agents in her career.

Career

After a first multi-year doping ban , she won a silver medal at the 2007 World Cup in the weight class up to 53 kg with 213 kg. In 2009 and 2010 she was second in the weight class up to 58 kg with 225 kg. She won the gold medal at the 2011 World Championships .

In 2009 she became European champion in the category up to 58 kg with a performance of 216 kg in the duel and vice world champion in the 58 kg class with 225 kg (100 kg + 125 kg) in the duel evaluation and in both individual disciplines. The significant increase to 238 kg (= 105 kg + 133 kg) brought her the European championship title in 2010 with a 31 kg lead over the Albanian Romela Begaj as well as the individual titles in tearing and pushing.

doping

From 2005 to 2007 Nowikawa was banned for a doping violation. In the summer of 2016, a ban was issued again because she had sneaked a third place at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing with the help of the doping agents dehydrochloromethyltestosterone and stanozolol . Her performances at the Games were canceled and the medal stripped .
