Andeh Davidson (born January 17, 1958 ) is a retired Nigerian boxer .

Career

At the African Championships in Kampala in 1974 Davidson won the silver medal in the light flyweight (-48 kg). He lost in the final against Vice World Champion Stephen Muchoki . In 1976 Davidson wanted to take part in the featherweight (-57 kg) Olympic Games in Montreal , but did not take part because of the Olympic boycott of the African states. The Indian Rai Sik advanced one round without a fight.

In 1977 Davidson became African champion in the lightweight (-60 kg) and surprisingly world champion in Belgrade the following year . On the way to the title, he defeated Ace Rusevski , Yugoslavia (RSC 2nd) in the round of 16 , later WBO world champion Daniel Londas (4: 1) in the quarter -finals, René Weller , Germany (5: 0) in the semi-finals , and Vladimir in the final Sorokin , Soviet Union (5: 0).

In 1980 Davidson turned professional and in 1983 he won the African Championship. He ended his career in 1987.
