The Ander (sometimes also called Lander ) is a river in France that runs in the Cantal department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region . It rises in the southeast of the Regional Nature Park Volcans d'Auvergne , in the municipality of Laveissenet , generally drains in a southeastern direction and flows into the Barrage de Grandval as a right tributary after 36 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Alleuze and Anglards-de-Saint-Flour in the backwater of the Barrage de Grandval the Truyère .
