André Geraldes de Barros (born May 2, 1991 in Maia ) is a Portuguese football player .

Career

Geraldes began playing club football as a youth at FC Maia and played here until the summer of 2004. Even before that, he was noticed by the FC Porto talent scouts . In 2004 he switched to the club's youth team. After a year he left Porto and returned to the youth team at FC Maia. Here he was appointed to the professional team in 2009 and worked for it for a season. In 2010 he left the club and played one season each for the clubs GD Chaves and Desportivo Aves .

For the 2012/13 season, the Portuguese coach Carlos Carvalhal took over the Turkish first division club Istanbul Büyükşehir Belediyespor and brought Geraldes to his new club as one of his first acts. In January 2014 he left the Istanbul team by mutual agreement and was then loaned to Belenenses Lisbon for the second half of the season. During the 2014 summer break, he moved from Istanbul BB to Sporting Lisbon , where he signed for five years.
