André Mangold (born July 25, 1989 in Iserlohn ) is a German ice hockey player who has been under contract with the SERC Wild Wings in the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga since June 2012 .

Career

The 185 cm tall and 85 kg heavy defender spent his first years ice hockey in the junior division of the Iserlohn Roosters . Since the Bambini he has laced the skates for the blue-whites and always played in the highest leagues. When he could no longer play for the students in 2004, he switched to the offspring of the Krefeld Penguins , as the Roosters did not have their own DNL team. He completed all 34 games of the season and came up with one goal and 3 points. In addition, he was extremely fair with only 4 penalty minutes. He was appointed to the U-16 national team and took part in some tournaments.

In the 2005/06 season he played in the junior national teams U-16 and U-17 and completed 32 games for Krefeld's DNL team. He ultimately got 2 goals and 7 points with 44 penalty minutes. At the end of the season he was offered a license for the professional penguins squad. In the 2006/07 season he was accepted into the newly founded ice hockey boarding school of KEV. He played the preparation in the DEL team and was invited to an international tournament with the U-18s. But the Canadian Challenge proved to be problematic, because in the first game he broke his arm and was out for over two months. This set him far back and he missed the U-18 World Cup . Nevertheless, he came to 16 games with 2 goals and 4 points in the DNL. He also played in the regional league at Grefrather EC . Here he got 10 games with 3 points. In addition, he had his first four appearances in the top German league, the German Ice Hockey League, in the 2006/07 season .

In the 2007/08 season he played with a promotion license in the major league for EC Bad Nauheim . After this season, his contract in Krefeld, dated until 2011, was terminated by mutual agreement and Mangold then went on the ice for one season for the Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the major league. From 2009 Mangold was under contract with the Red Devils Bad Nauheim.

In June 2012 he was signed by the SERC Wild Wings from the 2nd ice hockey Bundesliga .
