André Patry (born November 22, 1902 , † June 20, 1960 ) was a French astronomer .

Patry lost his parents very early and grew up as an orphan . He started working at the Nice Observatory at the age of 17 . Here he initially assisted on the instruments. He later dealt mainly with the study of asteroids and made nine new discoveries himself.

In recognition of his work, the asteroid (1601) Patry was named after him.
