André Vallée

André Vallée PME (born July 31, 1930 in Sainte-Anne-de-la-Pérade , † February 28, 2015 ) was Bishop of Hearst .

Life

André Vallée joined the religious order of the Société des Missions-Étrangères and was ordained a priest on June 24, 1956 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of the Canadian Military Ordinary and Titular Bishop of Sufasar on October 28, 1987 . The Archbishop of Halifax , James Martin Hayes , ordained him episcopal on January 28 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Gilles Ouellet PME, Archbishop of Rimouski , and Francis John Spence , Archbishop of Kingston .

On August 19, 1996, he was named Bishop of Hearst . On November 3, 2005, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related retirement.
