Andrea Eisenhut (born May 25, 1961 in Munich ) is a German sport climber and sport scientist .

Career

Andrea Eisenhut started sport climbing at the age of 16. She was the first woman in Germany who was able to establish herself in the top national performance in sport and competitive climbing. In 1982 she was the first German to climb the Separate Reality route in Yosemite Valley (5.12a American scale ) and in 1984 she was the first woman to climb the Munich roof in the Altmühltal (IX-UIAA).

After her first ascent of Apocalypse (IX) in the upper Danube valley, this route became one of the most important sport climbing routes in the mid-1980s. In alpine climbing Andrea Eisenhut also drew attention to himself; In addition to many classic routes, she managed the third red point ascent of the Cassin-Führe in the Westlichen-Zinne-Nordwand in the Sexten Dolomites (VIII-) and an early red point ascent of the Pilustro route on Tofana in the Dolomites (VII +).

In 1991, the sports student won first place at the German championships. She was the first German female climber to reach the UIAA level of difficulty by inspecting the Iratechnocracy route in the Franconian Jura and the route The Last Pig at the Schleierwasserfall in the Kaiser Mountains .

Life

Today Andrea Eisenhut is a lecturer in training at the Technical University of Munich . She published several books on training theory . In the meantime, Andrea has completely withdrawn from professional competitions and is now devoting herself to alpinism in her free time. Andrea Eisenhut has one son and lives in Kaufbeuren.
