Andrea Titz (born November 24, 1969 ) is a German judge and was director of the Wolfratshausen District Court until January 31, 2020 . Since February 1, 2020 she has been the Vice President of the Traunstein Regional Court

Life

Titz grew up in Nittenau in the Upper Palatinate . After graduating from high school, she studied law in Passau . She completed her legal clerkship in 1995 with the second state examination.

In 1995 she came to the Traunstein Public Prosecutor's Office . In 2002 she became a district judge in Mühldorf am Inn and Altötting . There she often made decisions about the placement of people in psychiatric hospitals and nursing homes . Then she went to the Traunstein Regional Court . In 2005 she moved to the Munich II Public Prosecutor's Office, where she most recently headed the department for capital crimes and enforcement . In 2009 she became a senior public prosecutor . 2013 she moved to the press office of the Higher Regional Court of Munich and the District Courts of Munich I and Munich II in criminal cases and was next to Richter - part-time employee in Bausenat of the Higher Regional Court of Munich.

In 2014 she was spokeswoman for the Munich Higher Regional Court in the tax proceedings against the former manager of FC Bayern Munich , Uli Hoeneß , in the NSU trial and in the bribery trial against Bernie Ecclestone . She became known to a wider audience in the course of media coverage of the Hoeneß criminal trial and the NSU trial. Since 2010 she has been one of two deputy chairpersons in the Presidium of the German Association of Judges . Andrea Titz is also the chairwoman of the Bavarian Judges' Association.

With effect from June 1, 2017, she was appointed director of the Wolfratshausen District Court and gave up her functions in Munich.

Titz is married and lives in Rosenheim and Munich .
