Career

Camenzind comes from the junior division of SC Rapperswil-Jona , but at the end of his junior period he moved to Graubünden to HC Davos , where he was able to play his first games in the National League A in the 1999/2000 season. In the following two seasons he was a regular in Arno Del Curto's team and was able to celebrate his biggest success so far in the 2001/02 season with the championship title.

After this success, he decided to return to the Unterland and signed a contract with Kloten Flyers for two seasons. In a total of 88 games for Kloten, he scored 14 goals and 15 assists. After his contract expired, Camenzind moved to the cantonal rival, the ZSC Lions , where he also spent two seasons.

After this rather mixed time, Camenzind decided to restart at the newly promoted EHC Basel , where he matured into a leading player. But even he could not prevent the relegation of Basel at the end of the 2007/08 season, and he broke his tent in Basel.

In the spring of 2008 he signed a contract with the SCL Tigers , where he made himself popular with those responsible and fans with good performances and his team in the 2010/11 season as captain for the Emmental's first playoff participation since the return to the National League A. in 1998.

In spring 2011 he returned to his parent club and signed a two-year contract with the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers . He retired in July 2014 after suffering a concussion in the second game of the 2013-14 season.
