Andreas Dahlén (born December 11, 1982 in Gävle ) is a former Swedish football player . The full-back played 143 games in the Allsvenskan .

Career

Career start in Sweden

Dahlén started his career at Brynäs IF . In 2003 he made his debut for the club in the fourth class Division 3 Södra Norrland in the senior division and contributed to reaching fourth place. He drew higher class attention and moved to the Superettan for IFK Norrköping before the start of the second division season in 2004 . However, he did not get beyond the role of a supplementary player in the twelve-time Swedish champions. In two seasons for the club from Östergötland County he was used in 32 games, but was only in the starting lineup in 15 games.

After the end of the second division season 2005 Dahlén left "Beijing" and moved to league rivals Umeå FC . When he was new to the league, he signed a two-year contract. For the club he played 24 games in the Superettan, but could not prevent the direct relegation as bottom of the table. Therefore, he left the club at the end of the season and joined Gefle IF in the Allsvenskan . In his first season in the Swedish elite series, he was one of the supplementary players and played twelve first division games. In the 2008 season the breakthrough he succeeded as he stood in 19 games in the starting lineup. The following year he played 26 games in the Allsvenskan and stood alongside players like Yannick Bapupa , Jonas Lantto and Hans Berggren in the starting line-up.

Change abroad

Dahlén made a name for himself outside of the country's borders through his good appearances in the Allsvenskan. At the German club Hansa Rostock , he took part in a trial training session where he knew how to convince. Dahlén signed for the second half of the second division season 2009/2010 a contract valid until summer 2012 with the club from the Baltic Sea city. With Hansa's relegation to the third division in the summer of 2010, this contract already lost its validity.

For the 2010/11 season he moved to the second division club FSV Frankfurt , where he signed a two-year contract. With the Bornheimers trained by Hans-Jürgen Boysen , Dahlén won a regular place on the left side of the defense at the start of the season, but had to sit out a few games during the preliminary round due to a thigh injury that he sustained at the home game against Alemannia Aachen. In the 2011/12 season, Dahlén came only to one use for Frankfurt's second division team and played increasingly for the reserve in the regional league .

Return to Sweden

Then Dahlén dissolved his contract with FSV Frankfurt in early January 2012 and went back to Sweden, where he joined the first division club Djurgårdens IF . A year later he moved to Åtvidabergs FF . After relegation in 2015 , he ended his career.
