Andreas Hänni (born January 4, 1979 in Erlenbach ZH ) is a former Swiss ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with SC Bern in the National League A.

Career

Andreas Hänni began his career as an ice hockey player with HC Ambrì-Piotta , for whose professional team he was active in the National League A from 1996 to 1998 . In parallel, he came as Players out on loan for the HC Lucerne and Lausanne HC in the National League B used. The defender spent the 1998/99 season with the Canadian junior team Cornwall Colts before playing again for HC Ambrì-Piotta in the NLA from 1999 to 2002. In his first year after returning to Switzerland, he played again for Lausanne HC in the NLB. For the 2002/03 season he moved within the NLA to HC Lugano , with which he immediately won the national championship title. He was able to repeat this success with Lugano in the 2005/06 season . During his time at the HCL, he appeared in parallel in some games for the NLB participant EHC Chur .

For the 2009/10 season Hänni was signed by the NLA participant SC Bern . With this he also became Swiss champion straight away. In the 2013/14 season , Hänni also played 15 NLA games on loan for EHC Biel .

After a year off due to an injury due to a severe traumatic brain injury - Hänni had suffered the fourth concussion of his career - he finally ended his active career in the summer of 2015.
