Andreas Nemetz

Andreas Nemetz ( Ondřej Němec in Czech , born November 14, 1799 in Chwalkowitz in the Hanna , Moravia ; † August 21, 1846 in Vienna ) was a Moravian trombonist, military bandmaster and composer .

Nemetz received music lessons from Moritz Kunerth in Kremsier . He evaded his recruitment by fleeing to Ödenburg . In 1823 Nemetz was appointed trombonist at the Vienna Court Opera . From 1828 he worked as the kk military bandmaster .

He composed military music; In addition, he wrote textbooks for French horn , trumpet and trombone and the "General Music School for Military Music", which was published by Anton Diabellis Musikverlag and was the only teaching work for military music in the Danube Monarchy .
