Andreas Rothbauer (born November 22, 1964 in Bietigheim ) is a German singer , musician and songwriter .

Rothbauer grew up with his parents in Löchgau . The father was a locksmith and the mother a housewife. In addition to the six years older brother, there is also a two years older sister. His father encouraged the children's musical development. Andreas made his first appearances in the living room at home, where he and his father sang songs in front of the family and relatives as a young boy. The big brother learned to play the organ and became a church organist in the Catholic parish in Löchgau, where Andreas Rothbauer was also an altar boy. In elementary school, Andreas Rothbauer learned to play the recorder and from sheet music. Andreas Rothbauer moved from elementary school in Löchgau to secondary school in Besigheim. Together with the sister he learned the accordion Club Freudental accordion playing. As a teenager he really wanted to learn to play the guitar and he got guitar lessons from a jazz guitarist who also taught him harmony .

After completing secondary school, Andreas Rothbauer trained as a banker at Bausparkasse Wüstenrot in Ludwigsburg , where he still works as the works council chairman to this day . In addition to his training, Andreas Rothbauer founded his first band with classmates from his secondary school in 1981. From the beginning, Andreas Rothbauer wrote and texted the band's own songs. The first smaller appearances followed in youth centers, at village festivals and in schools. For a long time the band had a rehearsal room in the old Sioux shoe factory in Walheim . After completing his bank training, Andreas Rothbauer bought a VW Karmann Ghia in 1985 which he still drives today and which can also be seen in his music videos. Andreas Rothbauer moderates events, is a committed member of the trade union DHV and a member of the banking wage commission for the private banking industry, a district council member of the AOK Ludwigsburg-Rems-Murr and an honorary labor judge at the Stuttgart Labor Court, Ludwigsburg chambers. Andreas Rothbauer is married to his wife Ingeborg Rothbauer and lives in Ludwigsburg.

In the mid-1980s, Andreas Rothbauer was the live guitarist for the synth pop group Camouflage , which had international hits such as “The Great Commandment” and “Love Is A Shield”. In 1989, Andreas Rothbauer and the project band “Die Erben” appeared in the German preliminary decision for the Grand Prix Eurovision de la Chanson, today's Eurovision Song Contest , with the song “Please do not repeat” and achieved 7th place and a positive mention in the Youth magazine BRAVO and the music market. There was a vinyl single with the German-language version on the A-side and the English-language version of the song "Forget The Past" on the B-side. The song was also released on scrapbooks. So far there has not been a chart success.

In 2012, Andreas Rothbauer released his first single “Unter den Linden” on CD and music video. In 2014 his first studio album was released entertainer . The title of the album is also the first song on the album, on which there are a total of 14 original compositions. The album was recorded in the JAMusic recording studio in Ludwigsburg and produced by Jörg Orlamünder. Video productions for various songs were made from the album.

Together with his producer Jörg Orlamünder, Andreas Rothbauer writes and texts songs that appear as music videos on YouTube and are available on popular streaming and download platforms such as Amazon , Spotify , AppleMusic , Deezer , Soundcloud etc. His songs are now also used on the radio . So far there has not been a chart success.
