Andrei Lukin (born February 26, 1989 ) is an Estonian ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Vipers Tallinn in the Estonian Meistriliiga since 2017 .

Career

Andrei Lukin began his career as a hockey player in his Estonian homeland, where he played for the Tallinna Eagles in 2006/07 and for Purikad Tallinn in the Meistriliiga in 2007/08 . Towards the end of the 2007/08 season and in the following season, he then ran in the Meistriliiga for the Eesti Noortekoondis , the Estonian U-20 national team, which took part in the league's games as a visiting team. In 2010 he moved to the Latvian Ice Hockey League where he took third place with DHK Latgale from Daugavpils . Even so, Lukin returned to Tallinn after a year and joined Tallinn Viiking Sport . But Lukin only lasted one season there and so he went to Finland in the summer of 2012 to gain further international experience with Pyhäjärven Pohti in the fourth class II division . In 2013 he returned to Viiking Sport, who had just become Estonian champions for the first time in his absence, in the Meistriliiga. After only one game there, however, he went to Kohtla-Järve Viru Sputnik and then moved annually via Tartu Kalev-Välk , where he became Estonian champion in 2015 , again Kohtla-Järve Viru Sputnik and HC Tallinn to HC Vipers Tallinn , where he has been since 2017 is under contract.

International

For Estonia , Lukin took part in the junior division of the U18 World Junior Championships in 2005 and 2007 in Division II as well as Division I of the U20 World Junior Championship in 2007 and Division II of the U20 World Junior Championship in 2008 .

In the senior division, he was in the Estonian squad for the first time in November 2012 for the Olympic qualification for the 2014 Games in Sochi , when the Estonians only finished fourth and last behind hosts Ukraine , Poland and Spain at the first round tournament in Kiev . In April 2013 he was again on the ice for the Estonians in Ukraine. But even in the tournament of Group B of Division I of the 2013 World Cup in Donetsk , it was only enough to make the last place, so that the Estonian team had to relegate to Division II. After he was promoted again in the meantime, he played again in Division I at the 2016 World Cup . He also represented his colors in the Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang and at the 2016 Baltic Cup.
