Anette Schröder

Anette Schröder (* 1955 in Rostock ) is a German ceramist , sculptor and author .

Life

Anette Schröder grew up in Schwerin and took part in exhibitions in the city of Schwerin while she was still at school. She received her artistic and professional training and further education from 1968 and 1972 in the Schwerin Ceramic Circle under the sponsorship of the Klement-Gottwald-Werk , between 1978 and 1982 at the then Technical School for Applied Arts Heiligendamm with the lecturers Joachim Jung, Wolfgang Friedrich and Doris Grafe as well as the ceramicists Mario Enke and Ralf Mücket. In 1979 she settled on the island of Usedom and began working as a freelance sculptor and ceramist in her own workshop in 1984. She got to know the Usedom artists Matthias Wegehaupt , Oskar Manigk and Sabine Curio better and became a member of the Usedomer Kunstverein e. V. From 1979 to 1982 she was the curator of the gallery and head of the ceramic workshop and courses of the IG Wismut holiday service in the Baltic resort of Zinnowitz . Even after 1990 she received some orders from public institutions such as hotels or the church. Since 1993, constantly changing exhibitions have taken place in the courtyard's own rooms and the gallery garden. Study trips took her to Denmark and Bornholm, among others . In addition to ceramic work and sculpture Anette Schröder engaged in painting and graphics , the development of small animated films as well as writing and illustrating of children's books under the pseudonym Ann d'Ers. With the latter she is represented in the social network of the LovelyBooks platform .

Anette Schröder is the granddaughter of Robert Schröder and descendant of Christoph Martin Burchard .
