Dedication names

Two species were named after Kepler: The Puerto Rican wood warbler ( Dendroica angelae ), an endemic bird species of the fauna of Puerto Rico , contains their first name. In their first description, Cameron B. Kepler and Kenneth Carroll Parkes write : The authors are delighted to continue this tradition and name this distinctive new parulid for its co-discoverer, Angela Kay Kepler, who, in addition, located the El Yunque population and found the individual that became the first collected specimen. (German: The authors are pleased to continue this tradition and name this unmistakable new wood warbler in honor of co-discoverer Angela Kay Kepler, who also recognized the populations in the El Yunque National Forest and also found the first collected hide of this species.)

The type epithet of the subfossil rall species Porzana keplerorum , which once lived on the islands of Hawaii and was first described in 1991, refers to both Angela Kepler and Cameron B. Kepler. The first description was by Storrs Lovejoy Olson and Helen Frances James . The dedication to the etymology of the name used reads: To Cameron B. Kepler and Angela K. Kepler, who have in many ways aided our field investigations in the Hawaiian Islands, especially on Maui, and assisted in collecting some of the type material of this species. (German: For Cameron B. Kepler and Angela K. Kepler, who always helped us with our field research on the islands of Hawaii , especially on Maui , and supported us in collecting some material of this kind.)
