Angelo Spinillo (born May 1, 1951 in Sant'Arsenio , Province of Salerno , Italy ) is Bishop of Aversa .

Life

Angelo Spinillo acquired the licentiate in pastoral theology and received on 15 July 1978 with the Bishop of Diano Teggiano , Umberto Luciano Altomare , the sacrament of Holy Orders . In November 1982 he became deputy treasurer of the parish of Santa Annunziata . In 1983 Spinillo went to Monte San Giacomo as parish priest . In the diocese of Diano-Teggiano, he was also involved in cultural issues from the 1990s.

On March 18, 2000, Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Teggiano-Policastro . The Archbishop of Naples , Michele Cardinal Giordano , donated him episcopal ordination on May 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Salerno-Campagna-Acerno , Gerardo Pierro , and the Secretary of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Ordinance of the Sacraments , Archbishop of Curia, Francesco Pio Tamburrino OSB . On January 15, 2011 Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . to the Bishop of Aversa. The inauguration took place on February 19 of the same year.

After the death of Pietro Farina , Spinillo became Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Caserta in September 2013 . He held this office until Giovanni D'Alise's inauguration on May 18, 2014.
