Anja Zdovc (born August 24, 1987 in Slovenj Gradec ) is a Slovenian volleyball player .

Career

Zdovc was initially interested in karate before a teacher took her to volleyball. She began her career in 2002 with Nova KBM Branik Maribor , where she played in the first division at the age of 15. Shortly thereafter, she was appointed to the Slovenian national team for the first time . In 2004 she won the Slovenian Cup with Maribor. In 2006, the outside attacker moved to league competitor ZOK Novo mesto . Two years later she left home and went to Melun La Rochette . However, the French club had to withdraw from the league, so that Zdovc moved on to Dinamo Bucharest . There she also won the national cup and was third in the championship in the 2008/09 season. In 2010 she returned to France and played volleyball for Istres Ouest Provence. In the 2012/13 season she was French runner- up with Béziers Volley. She then moved to PA Venelles within the league . In the 2016/17 season she was active on the island of Santorini for AO Thiras . After that, the Slovenian was signed by the German Bundesliga club Rote Raben Vilsbiburg .
