Schoot began her career with a mixed team in her home country. Until 2005 she played with Udense Saturnus. In the same year she took part in a youth tournament in Lignano Sabbiadoro with the Dutch offspring . The juniors were then united at VC Weert .

From 2006 to 2008 Schoot was at Longa 59 Lichtenvoorde . Then she moved to Martinus Amstelveen and won the Dutch championship and cup double. In the following season she repeated the double with the newly founded TVC Amstelveen . In 2011/12 she played for the German Bundesliga club Rote Raben Vilsbiburg . Since she did not want to be the second choice in the libero position, she was used there as an outside attacker.

In 2012, Schoot switched to league competitor Dresdner SC . In 2013 she reached the final of the German championship with the club. In 2014 and 2015 she became German champion. In 2016 she won the German Cup with Dresdner SC and was again German champion. In 2018 she was again a cup winner with the Dresden club. At the beginning of May 2018, the club announced that Schoot would not extend its contract, which was running out at the end of the season, in order to be able to devote itself to new challenges. At the end of May 2018, the Rote Raben Vilsbiburg announced that Schoot was returning to Vilsbiburg for the 2018/19 season after six years in Dresden .

National team

With the senior national team , in which they made their debut the previous year, the Libera reached the final of the 2009 European Championship . At the 2011 European Championships , Schoot made it to the quarter-finals with the Netherlands.
