Anna Shevchenko (born August 4, 1993 ) is a Kazakh cross-country skier .

Career

Shevchenko started internationally for the first time in January 2011 at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2011 in Otepää . There she finished 46th over 5 km freestyle. In the following year she won the 12th place over 5 km classic, the 11th place in the skiathlon and the eighth place with the relay at the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships 2012 in Erzurum . At the beginning of the 2012/13 season she made her debut in Gällivare in the cross-country skiing world cup and came in 18th place with the relay. At the Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in 2013 in Liberec , she came in 15th place in the skiathlon, 13th place over 5 km freestyle and 11th place with the relay. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2013 in Fiemme Valley were 36th place in the 30 km mass start race and 15th place with the relay. In December 2013 she took part in the 2013 Winter Universiade in Lago di Tesero . The 19th place in the skiathlon was her best placement. The following month, she became a Kazakh Master in Persecution. At the U23 World Championships in 2014 in Fiemme Valley, she achieved 37th place in the sprint, 32nd place over 10 km classic and 15th place in skiathlon. In February 2015 she took 36th place in sprint at the U23 World Championships in Almaty in 2015 , 23rd place in skiathlon and 19th place over 10 km freestyle, and 46th place in sprint at the 2015 Nordic World Ski Championships in Falun and in the skiathlon and the 41st place in the 30 km mass start race. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, she finished 48th in the World Cup Mini Tour in Lillehammer . At the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty, she won the bronze medal in the 15 km mass start race, over 5 km classic and in the pursuit, the silver medal with the relay and the gold medal in the mixed team sprint. Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2017 in Lahti were 23rd place in the skiathlon, 14th place together with Anna Stojan in the team sprint and 12th place with the relay. At the beginning of the 2017/18 season she got her first World Cup point in the Ruka Triple , which she finished in 57th place, with 30th place over 10 km. She finished the Tour de Ski 2017/18 in 27th place. Her best placings at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang were 29th place in the sprint and 20th place together with Valerija Tjulenewa in the team sprint. In March 2018, she became the Kazakh sprint and skiathlon champion in Shchuchinsk .

Her best results at the Nordic World Ski Championships 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol were 33rd place in the 30 km mass start race and 15th place with the relay. In March 2019, she won the Kazakh sprint, pursuit and 30 km mass start race in Shchuchinsk .
