Anssi Jaakkola (born March 13, 1987 in Kemi ) is a Finnish football goalkeeper .

Career

Anssi Jaakkola was born in the Finnish port city of Kemi. As a child he joined the football club Tornion Palloveikot , which is located in the neighboring town of Tornio . In 2004 he came to his first appearance for Tornion Palloveikot in the Veikkausliiga against AC Allianssi . In 2005 he was loaned to Kajaanin Haka . At his home club, the goalkeeper only made a few appearances in three seasons. In 2006 Jaakkola came to AC Siena in Serie A . He was used there only once when he was substituted on the last day of the 2007/08 season against US Palermo . From 2010 to 2011 he played for Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic. The tall Jaakkola has been under contract with FC Kilmarnock since the 2011/12 season . In Scotland, he signed for two years. With Kilmarnock he won the Scottish League Cup in the final against Celtic Glasgow in his first season . In August 2013, the goalkeeper signed with Ajax Cape Town .

In 2011 Jaakkola made his debut for the Finnish national soccer team in the international match against Sweden .
