Antônio Carlos dos Santos Aguiar or short Antônio Carlos , (born June 22, 1983 in Rio de Janeiro ) is a Brazilian football player . The right foot is used as a defender.

Career

Antonio Carlos started his career a. a. in the youth team of Fluminense Rio de Janeiro . At FLU he made the leap into the professional squad in 2003. In the season he enters his first four games as a professional. In the following season he played 39 league games and scored three goals.

In summer 2005, the players moved to France for AC Ajaccio , which in the 2005/06 season in the Ligue 1 played. At the end of the season, Antonio Carlos had to relegate to Ligue 2 as 18th . Here he only played two games in 2006/07 and returned to Brazil in the summer of 2007. His new stadium was Athletico Paranaense . Here he became a regular player and played all possible 16 league games during the season . He got a hit. In mid-2009, the player was loaned to Atlético Goianiense in Série B for the rest of the year . With the Botafogo FR , another loan deal followed at the beginning of 2010. With the club he was able to win the state championship in Rio de Janeiro that year. In 2011 Antonio Carlos was taken over permanently by Botafogo .

Antonio Carlos remained loyal to Botafogo until 2013. In that year he first appeared in the state championship of Rio de Janeiro , the Copa do Brasil and the Série A , but then moved to league rivals FC São Paulo in the summer of that year . After two years, the player moved back to Rio de Janeiro. He went to his old hometown club FLU for a year .

At the beginning of 2016, Antonio Carlos initially had an engagement with Avaí FC . For this he played in four games in the Primeira Liga do Brasil 2016 and the state championship of Santa Catarina , but then left the club at his own request. He then moved to the start of the Série B league for Ceará SC , where he made six appearances in the 2016 season. Antonio Carlos left the club again at the end of the season. After stints at lower-class clubs, he moved to the second division of Chile to CD Magallanes for four months in August 2018 . On October 20, 2018, the 28th matchday of the season, Antonio Carlos made his only appearance for the club against Deportes Melipilla .

At the beginning of 2019, Antônio Carlos changed again. He went to Brasiliense FC to compete with this in the Brasília district championship . After the competition was over, he was released.
