Anthony William Fontana (born October 14, 1999 in Newark , Delaware ) is an American football player .

Career

society

Fontana began his career with the Philadelphia Union . In July 2016 he made his debut for the farm team Bethlehem Steel FC in the USL when he came on as a substitute for Fred on the 15th matchday of the 2016 season against FC Cincinnati on the 73rd minute . By the end of the season he had eight missions for Bethlehem. In the 2017 season he made eleven appearances in the USL.

For the 2018 season he moved to the Philadelphia Union squad. He made his MLS debut in March 2018 when he started against New England Revolution on matchday eight of that season and was replaced by Jay Simpson in the 66th minute . In the game that Philadelphia won 2-0, Fontana also scored his first goal in the MLS. In the 2018 season he came to five missions in the MLS, he also came to 15 missions for Bethlehem in the USL. In the 2019 season he also made eight appearances in the MLs, and in that season he made 14 appearances for the farm team.

National team

Fontana took in 2018 with the US U-20 team at the CONCACAF Under-20 Championship in part. He was able to win this with the USA; Fontana made two appearances during the tournament and scored four goals.
