Kacper Przybyłko [ ˈkatspɛr pʐɨˈbɨwkɔ ] (born March 25, 1993 in Bielefeld ) is a German - Polish football player .

Career

Born in Germany , Przybyłko, son of former Polish soccer player Mariusz and former Polish athlete Violetta Przybyłko, was also a good athlete in his childhood. With his twin brother Jacub and his older brother Mateusz , he trained in the LG Bielefeld (today PSV Bielefeld ) and was named one of the athletes of the year in the Bielefeld district in 2005.

As a soccer player, he went through the youth teams of Arminia Bielefeld and played in the U-17 and U-19 Bundesliga . In 2008, Przybyłko was first discovered by the Polish Association (PZPN) for its own junior national team and used in the U-15 selection team. In the following years the young striker played in all Polish youth teams and took part in the U-17 European Championship in 2010.

In 2011 he moved up to the second team of the Arminen and attracted attention with seven goals in seven NRW league games . Then he was also considered for the professional team in the 3rd division . On October 1, 2011 (12th matchday) he made his professional debut in the 0-1 defeat in the home game against 1. FC Heidenheim with a substitute for Patrick Schönfeld .

On January 31, 2012, he moved to 1. FC Köln and was used for the second team playing in the Regionalliga West . In his first game on February 4, 2012 (22nd matchday), a 4-0 win at home against VfL Bochum II , he scored a goal and assisted with the goal in the 83rd minute. In the second half of the 2011/12 season he scored ten goals in 17 regional league games.

For the 2012/13 season he moved up to the professional squad trained by Holger Stanislawski and made his debut in the 2-1 win against SpVgg Unterhaching in the first main round of the DFB Cup . He scored his first league goal on April 14, 2013 (29th matchday) in the home game against VfR Aalen , when he scored the winning 1-0 in stoppage time.

Since he received very little playing time, he returned to Arminia Bielefeld on loan for half a year during the winter break of the 2013/14 season . In his first game against FC St. Pauli on February 9, 2014 (20th matchday), he scored both goals to make it 2-2 after being substituted on. On the last day of the match, Przybyłko scored the 3-2 winner in the decisive game against Dynamo Dresden and saved his team in relegation . In this he met in the extension of the second leg against SV Darmstadt 98 to 2: 3, which would have been enough for the Bielefeld team due to the 3-1 first leg win to keep their league. Ultimately, Arminia lost the game 2: 4 and relegated to the third division due to the away goals rule .

In the summer break of 2014, he moved to SpVgg Greuther Fürth and received a contract valid until June 30, 2017. In his first competitive game, the first league game on August 2, 2014, he scored a goal in the 1-1 away game against VfL Bochum .

For the 2015/16 season he moved to the second division club 1. FC Kaiserslautern , who provided him with a contract valid until June 30, 2018. At the start of the season on July 24, 2015, he scored two goals in a 3-1 win in the away game against MSV Duisburg . After the 2017/18 season, in which 1. FC Kaiserslautern was relegated to the third division , he left the club.

In the summer break of 2018 Przybyłko played unsuccessfully for the second division promoted 1. FC Magdeburg , before moving to the North American Major League Soccer in mid-September after several weeks of trial training at Philadelphia Union and signed a contract until the end of the 2018 season. Due to an injury, he was not used. Nevertheless, he received a new contract for the 2019 season . At the beginning of the season in March, Przybyłko first came to 2 missions in the farm team , the Bethlehem Steel FC , in the USL Championship , in which he scored 3 goals. At the end of April Przybyłko first came to the Philadelphia Union in the MLS and scored 3 goals in his first 4 appearances. Przybyłko scored a total of 15 goals in 26 appearances in the regular season, making him the fifth-best goalscorer. As third in the Eastern Conference, his team qualified for the play-offs.
