Antoine Eugène Wattelier , also Antony Wattelier , (born May 15, 1880 in Paris , † December 31, 1914 in Fricourt ) was a French cyclist.
Antony Wattelier was the six years younger brother of the racing driver Édouard Wattelier . Like his brother, he competed in classic races in the early years of road cycling. The really big victory was denied to him.
Wattelier competed seven times in the Tour de France , his best placing was tenth in 1906 . In 1910 he finished fourth in Paris – Tours , in 1905 he finished 13th in Paris – Roubaix and 18th in Paris – Roubaix . In 1906, he and Georges Landrieu also finished third in the six-day race in Toulouse , the first of its kind on the European continent.
Antoine Wattelier died as a soldier in the First World War on New Year's Eve 1914 .
