Antonín Nič

Antonín Nič (born November 22, 1905 in Vamberk ; † unknown) was a Czechoslovak wrestler . He was vice European champion in 1935 in the Greco-Roman style in bantamweight.

Career

Nič started wrestling as a teenager. He went to Prague and became a member of the Zizka Prague sports club . Later he joined the police and therefore started for the SV Prague police . Antonín Nič wrestled almost exclusively in Greco-Roman during his entire career. Style. He missed the start at the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam because he lost to Jindrich Maudr in the Czechoslovakian elimination .

He made his debut on the international wrestling mat at the European Championships in Greco-Roman. Style in Dortmund in 1929 . He started there in the bantamweight division and lost after two victorious fights against Paul Reiber from Germany and Svend Martinsen from Norway , but came in 3rd place and won a bronze medal.

In 1930 Antonín Nič just missed a medal at the European Championships in Stockholm with 4th place. After 1945 Antonín Nič worked as a wrestling trainer for various sports clubs.
