Antonio Napoletano CSsR (born June 8, 1937 in Nocera Inferiore ; † March 25, 2019 ) was an Italian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Sessa Aurunca .

Life

Antonio Napoletano joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists in and received on 19 March 1961, the priestly ordination .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Sessa Aurunca on November 19, 1994. The Pope personally donated his episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year; Co-consecrators were the Archbishops of the Curia Giovanni Battista Re , substitute for the State Secretariat , and Jorge María Mejía , Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops . The inauguration in the diocese of Sessa Aurunca took place on May 5, 1995.

On June 25, 2013, Pope Francis accepted his resignation, which he had submitted for reasons of age.
