Apostolic Nuncio to Australia
The Apostolic Nuncio in Australia is the permanent representative of the Holy See (i.e. the Pope as a subject of international law) to the Government of Australia . The seat of the nunciature is Canberra .
history
The representation was established by Pope Pius X on April 15, 1915, initially as an apostolic delegation and in 1973 elevated to the status of an apostolic nunciature .
