action

Due to hydraulic fracturing occurs in New Orleans to a violent earthquake that transforms the entire city into ruins. What remains are also gigantic cracks in the earth. The few survivors are soon attacked by large albino spiders crawling out of the earth cracks. They can walk on water and spit fire.

A group is attacked by the spiders on a bus. You stop at a drug store to arm yourself with bug spray. Unfortunately, the spiders are immune to the venom and some of the group are killed by the spiders. The group decides to fight their way back to the bus and then head for the port. After suffering some losses, the group splits up and some get on a boat. Those who remain on the bus are locked in by cob threads in the bus. The boat sinks a little later after a spider attack near a forest.

Soldiers have now reached the city and free the people trapped in the bus from the spiders. The survivors from the boat meet the biologist Katelynn on the mainland, who suggests catching a spider to study. After a spider has been successfully caught and examined, the biologist shares her results with the group. She found out that they were prehistoric spiders that were freed by the earthquake. In addition, the life of all spiders is linked to the life of the Spider Kings. If you kill them, everyone else dies too.

They find a spider's nest in a cave. However, the queen manages to save herself in the city. There she weaves another, even larger spider's nest. This is destroyed with dynamite. The spider queen is killed in the explosion.

criticism

“Monstrous spiders are robbed of their prehistoric tranquility by tremors and crawl out of the crevices of the deep to enjoy the residents and tourists of New Orleans. Extremely cheap (television) action horror film, not remarkable in terms of form or content. "

"Lousy synchro - but can also be watched without sound."
