The Arenberg-Dreigemeindewald nature reserve is located in the Alzey-Worms district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 61 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1991 , extends southwest of the local community of Wendelsheim along the Wiesbach in the natural area of Wiesener Randhöhen , which is part of the so-called Rheinhessische Schweiz . The state road L 404 runs northwest , the eastern part of the nature reserve runs along the boundary with Nack and the Ahrenberg .

The area includes the Wiesbachtal with the near-natural Wiesbachlauf, the creek-accompanying ash-alder-fringed forest and the adjacent lowland areas as well as the valley-side slope areas with various types of near-natural forest, block rubble , rock and dry areas as well as semi -arid grasslands .
