Ariamsvlei is a settlement in the ǁKaras region in southern Namibia and the Namibian border crossing to South Africa to the east . Ariamsvlei is about 16 kilometers west of the border - the nearest town on the South African side is Nakop , which is why the border crossing is also called Ariamsvlei-Nakop. The border crossing is a road crossing from the national road B3 to the South African national road N10 and next to Noordoewer the most important crossing to South Africa. It is open 24 hours.

Ariamsvlei is located around 80 kilometers north of the Orange River in the Karasburg constituency .
