Ariel Edgardo Torrado Mosconi
Ariel Edgardo Torrado Mosconi (born January 18, 1961 in Veinticinco de Mayo , Province of Buenos Aires , Argentina ) is an Argentine clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Nueve de Julio .
Life
Ariel Edgardo Torrado Mosconi initially trained as an agricultural engineer and entered the seminary of the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires in 1983 . After the Baccalauret in theology, he obtained a licentiate in moral theology here . On November 17, 1990, he received the sacrament of ordination through the Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Antonio Quarracino .
After two years as a chaplain, he became Prefect and later Subregens at the Buenos Aires Seminary in 1992 . In 1999 he took over the leadership of the parish of San Bernardo . In 2005 he became pastor of San Isidro Labrador and took on various tasks at the diocesan level. He was a member of the Council of Priests and the College of Consultors, Secretary of the Education Department and the Episcopal Liturgy Commission. He was also an assessor at the Cultural Institute of the Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina .
On November 22, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . as titular bishop of Vicus Pacati and auxiliary bishop in Santiago del Estero . The Archbishop of Buenos Aires, Jorge Mario Cardinal Bergoglio SJ , donated him episcopal ordination on December 13 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the auxiliary bishop in La Plata , Antonio Marino , and the bishop of Santiago del Estero, Francisco Polti Santillán .
Pope Francis appointed him Coadjutor Bishop of Nueve de Julio on May 12, 2015 . With the resignation of Martín de Elizaldes OSB on December 1, 2015, he succeeded him as Bishop of Nueve de Julio.
