Arina Vladimirovna Shulgina ( Russian Арина Владимировна Шульгина ; international transcription: Arina Shulgina; * June 25, 1991 ) is a triathlete from Russia who has competed for Kazakhstan since 2018 . She is Russian triathlon champion on the sprint distance (2010), two-time Russian duathlon champion (2013, 2016), two-time and reigning national champion in the triathlon middle distance (2016, 2017) and reserve member of the national team.

Career

From 2007 to 2010 Schulgina took part in eight ITU competitions and since 2009 has also started in the elite category (professionals).

National champion triathlon sprint distance 2010

In the Russian championships 2010 in Pensa school Gina won two gold medals in the junior / U23 category (юниорки), namely on the distances 0.3 + 10 + 2 0.75 + + 20. 5
In 2010 Schulgina ranked third in the Russian U23 ranking (Юниорки) and fifth in the Russia Cup.

In March 2011 Shulgina was seventh in the Russian elite aquathlon championships, in April 2011 Shulgina was awarded the title of Master of Sports (Мастер спорта России). Schulgina belongs to the elite sports school KOR No. 1 for the training of future Olympians in Moscow.

In September she was third in the U23 World Duathlon Championships. In France, Schulgina competes for Issy Triathlon , in 2011 as part of the D1 Duathlon Club Championship.

U23 European champion duathlon sprint distance 2012

In April 2012 she became the U23 European champion on the duathlon sprint distance in the Netherlands. In September 2013 she became Russian duathlon champion.

In June 2016 she became national champion in the triathlon middle distance and a month later she became national duathlon champion for the second time. The 26-year-old has been working for Kazakhstan since spring 2018 .

Around July 2017 she was able to successfully defend her national title on the triathlon middle distance in Bronnizy and also won this title for the second time.

She has been married since November 2015 and lives with her husband in Penza .
