The Arize, which runs in the Occitania region , rises under the name Péguère in the Pyrenees ( Massif de l'Arize ), in the municipal area of Sentenac-de-Sérou , generally drains in a north-westerly direction and flows 84 kilometers into the municipality of Carbonne as a right tributary the Garonne . On its way, the Arize crosses the Ariège and Haute-Garonne departments .
