Arkadiusz Piech (born June 7, 1985 in Świdnica (Schweidnitz) , Poland ) is a Polish football player .

Club career

Arkadiusz Piech played for Polonia Świdnica in his youth. From 2003 to 2008 also in the first team of Polonia Świdnica and Polonia / Sparta Świdnica. In 2008 he was loaned to third division club Gawin / Ślęza Wrocław and was able to score nine goals in 18 league games. This aroused the interest of the then second division club Widzew Łódź and he was loaned out again before finally making the breakthrough in 2010 and moving to the first division club Ruch Chorzów . At the end of the 2011/12 season , Piech was named Player of the Season . In January 2013 he decided not to extend his contract with Ruch Chorzów, which expired in June 2013.

Less than a week later, Piech moved to the second half of the 2012/13 season in the Turkish Süper Lig to Sivasspor . He signed until the end of June 2016.

After half a year in Turkey he returned to Poland by signing a contract with Legia Warsaw . At the beginning of 2015 he was loaned to GKS Bełchatów . Here he was able to achieve 11 goals in 15 games in the Polish Ekstraklasa . In the first half of the 2015/16 season he played again for Legia Warsaw, but did not make more than 6 short appearances. In January 2016 he switched to AEL Limassol from Cyprus on loan . Here he was then a regular player and was able to score 9 goals in 13 league games. For the 2016/2017 season he was then committed by the Cypriot league competitor Apollon Limassol . For Apollon he was able to score 9 goals in 26 games and was a Cypriot cup winner . For the 2017/2018 season, Arkadiusz Piech returned to Poland and signed with Śląsk Wrocław .

National team

He made his debut in the Polish national team on December 16, 2011 in a 1-0 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina .
