Armenhof is a district of the municipality of Dipperz in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda . After the core town, Armenhof is the largest district with around 470 inhabitants.

Geographical location

Armenhof is about two kilometers from the core town of Dipperz and is located north of it in the Rhön , in the valley system of the Wanne , a right eastern tributary of the Haune . The municipal area is 242 hectares (1961), of which 123 hectares are forested.

history

Armenhof was first mentioned in a document in 1248. In 1702 the Fulda monastery acquired the court from those of Romrod.

In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , the last small communities such as Armenhof lost their independence by law. Thus, with effect from August 1, 1972, the municipalities of Armenhof, Dipperz, Dörmbach , Finkenhain , Friesenhausen , Kohlgrund , Wisselsrod and Wolferts were merged into one municipality with the name Dipperz .

traffic

The state road 3379 , which connects the town with Dipperz and via Margretenhaun with Fulda , leads through Armenhof .
