Wisselsrod is a district of the municipality of Dipperz in the eastern Hessian district of Fulda .

Geographical location

The small village of Wisselsrod is around one and a half kilometers from the core town of Dipperz and is located southwest of it in the Rhön , in the Haune valley system . The Holzbach , which flows into the upper Haune from the right and east, flows through the district . The district area is 238 hectares (1961), of which 29 hectares are forested.

history

The name Wezelesrot was first mentioned in the boundary description of the parish Margretenhaun from 1093.

In the course of the regional reform in Hesse , the last small communities like Wisselsrod lost their independence by law. With effect from August 1, 1972, the communities of Armenhof , Dipperz, Dörmbach , Finkenhain , Friesenhausen , Kohlgrund , Wisselsrod and Wolferts were merged to form a community called Dipperz .

Landesstrasse 3258 , which leads from Dipperz and Bundesstrasse 458 via Kohlgrund to Dietershausen , runs through Wisselsrod .
