Armin Sabol

Armin Sabol (born June 5, 1960 in Stuttgart ) is a German-Croatian guitarist , music producer and songwriter living in Germany .

Career

Sabol formed the hard rock band Shiva in 1977 at the age of 16 . Two years later they were on tour as the opening act for Colosseum II , Nina Hagen and Whitesnake . Since there was no commercial success, the band broke up in 1980.

In 1981 Sabol started working with Peter Schilling . On his first album he worked as a producer, co-composer and guitarist. The single Major Tom , which he co-produced , reached number one on the German single charts in 1983 and number 14 on the American Billboard Hot 100 . Other singles such as The Desert Lives , Terra Titanic and Heat of the Night also made it into the charts. All in all, from the albums produced jointly with Schilling between 1982 and 1984, Fehler im System (English-language edition: Error in the System ) and 120 Grad (English-language edition: Things to Come ), as well as all single releases from them, around eight million records worldwide sold and awarded a total of four gold records in Germany, Austria and Canada.

Sabol next produced bands like Rage , Sinner and Pyracanda . He also worked as a studio musician on pieces by Hazel O'Connor , Mick Jackson and Eric Burdon . In the 1990s he worked with the hip-hop band Die Fantastischen Vier , as a guitarist on 4 wins and The 4th Dimension, and as a co-author of the title Enough is enough . In 2007, extensive hard rock solos sabols shaped the pig rock mix of the single Harvest what we sow, which is now part of the live repertoire of Fanta 4 . In addition to participating in singles by Camouflage ( Thieves ) and Thomas D ( Get on Board (Remix) ), he has been composing and producing instrumental music for television , film and trailer use for the global production music publisher Sonoton since the mid-1990s .

His first solo album Wah, Wah, Wah was released in 2002, Goddess SHIVA in 2007 and the EP Shredding the Blues in 2009 with his blues-rock trio "Armin Sabol & Red Hot". Sabol runs his own music studio in Stuttgart and performs regularly with the party band Die Lollies ( Wahnsinn - Hölle, Hölle ). In the ZDF broadcast Vier sind das Volk , a political improv show with Wigald Boning as moderator (original format If I Ruled the World ), Sabol's comedy version of the German national anthem (appeared on Sonoton ) used in whole or in part as theme music and in the credits.
