The Armstrong Siddeley 16-Six is a passenger car that the British manufacturer Armstrong Siddeley produced from 1938 to 1941 as the successor to the 17 hp .

The mid -range sedans had four rear-hinged doors. All four wheels were attached to rigid axles that were suspended from semi-elliptical longitudinal leaf springs.

An overhead six - cylinder in - line engine with 1990 cm³ displacement (bore × stroke = 65 mm × 100 mm) was installed, which delivered an output of 62 bhp (45.6 kW) at 4200 rpm. The rear wheels were driven via a manual four-speed gearbox and a cardan shaft.

950 copies of the 16-Six were built by 1941. From 1945 onwards, the Lancaster , Whitley , Typhoon and Hurricane models had grown significantly .
