The 20 hp replaced the 18 hp Mark II model in the upper mid-range. Unlike the latter, it had a side-controlled six - cylinder in - line engine , even if the displacement remained the same at 2872 cm³ (bore × stroke = 73 mm × 114.2 mm). The performance is unknown.
Like all pre-war Armstrong Siddeley models, the 20 hp had two rigid axles. The front axle hung on semi-elliptical longitudinal leaf springs. In the model with a short wheelbase (3048 mm), this also applies to the rear axle. The model with a longer wheelbase (3277 mm) was the last model from the manufacturer to have a rear axle with cantilever suspension .

In 1932 the New 20 hp appeared . What was new, above all, was the larger, now overhead engine. In addition, the cars were slightly larger than their predecessors.
The new engine had a displacement of 3190 cm³ (bore × stroke = 73 mm × 127 mm). The performance of this engine is also unknown. 100 km / h is given as the maximum speed.
Of both models (20 hp and New 20 hp) together, 8847 copies were built.

In 1936 the 20/25 hp replaced the New 20 hp. If the cars remained about the same size, the engine had grown again.
The new engine had a displacement of 3670 cm³ (bore × stroke = 82.5 mm × 114.3 mm). With a single SU carburetor , it developed 85 bhp (62.5 kW) at 3500 rpm. The top speed increased significantly to 130 km / h.
Also new was the “Atlanta Sports Saloon”, a sporty sedan with four doors.
